Pics of my favourite places in Barry

Pics of some of my recent outings in and around Barry!

So, it's been about 2 months since I moved to Barry...
Here are my top spots!!

1) Butterfly Collector:
I live really close to the Butterfly Collector, a pub situated in a shop on Holton Road. It is super dog friendly, Gwen always gets a treat and gets to sit on the biggest sofa I have ever seen! There's a huge selection of cask ales and ciders and service is at your table as there actually isn't a bar to speak of. They have live music most weekend evenings.

2) Jackson's Bay:
I visit Jackson's Bay the most as dogs aren't allowed on Whitmore during the summer months. Gwen absolutely LOVES it, and when we get there always goes crazy zoomies. It's also great to watch all the paddleboarders and swimmers out and I've been out for a swim a couple of times too!

3) Rooftop Atelier:
I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked into Rooftop Atelier. What an amazing selection of craft supplies and machines! Rooftop Atelier is such a friendly and helpful shop, and I can't wait to go back and browse the haberdashery!

3) Acadamy Espresso :
Here you can find consistently good coffee, vibes and friendly staff! This is a great place to eat alone or meet friends, it's another great spot for taking Gwen who has been on their social media a few times now ;-) It's so nice to find a good coffee shop to make your local!

4) Whitmore & Jackson:
Here I always have the best-poached eggs, I try and branch out and try other things but then when I get served I always order the same thing - eggs florentine, yum! And you guessed it.. Gwen likes it here too.. haha!

5) Memo Arts Centre:
I first went here for a Take That tribute act and they were incredible, I'd had such low expectations and I shouldn't have as they were perfect and we danced all night. I soon booked again for the Monthly Comedy Night event where we sat in the front row! Again I was so impressed by the 4 Bristol based comedians, one made me cry with laughter! It's definitely worth a trip. Next up I'm planning to go to their Wrestling Night and a Queen Tribute act in November!

I have a few more spots on my to do list and I'm looking forward to the Small Space Theatre re-opening. Feel free to get in touch and recommend your favourite places in and around Barry too!
