We are loving the 'MIX & MATCH - Modern Crochet Blankets book by Esme Crick' - so we have contacted Esme and she is happy for Lark to use her patterns in workshops if attendees purchase her book. We think that is a a great idea as the book is such a good resource and contains 100 patterns, most patterns include Gem's favourite pictograms too! You will be able to find it in many stores online and we always encourage buying anywhere other than Amazon where possible ;-) 

The blankets are made up from long strips, it therefore makes it a really portable project as you don't have to lug around a whole blanket, once you have made around 15 strips you simply sew them all together. You can join as many or as few sessions as you like as this club will be different to our usual multi week clubs as you can book for the individual skills sessions, below you will find the stitches we will be covering and you can match the numbers up when booking or just take a gamble and come and try different things - we plan to cover 2-3 stitches per session - we will cover the blanket basics at the start of  every single session so it doesn't matter when you start. We will host 'assemble your strips into a blanket' sessions every few months so you can have an end goal!

It won't matter if you don't have your yarn when you join as you will be working on a small sample during the session and we have lots of scrap yarn you can make your samples with - you can then start your real blanket after learning the stitches - Lark has yarn in store you can buy during your session too ;-)

Note : The book uses DK yarns but Gemma has now made 2 mix and match blankets with Aran yarn which have looked great and have worked up much faster. We can discuss what would be best for you when you arrive. 

These sessions are only suitable for those who can crochet a little already, we'd expect you to be able to confidently do at least one stitch before joining - we offer learn to crochet sessions if you are new to crochet. 

Please bring your favourite crochet hooks, ideally sizes 4,5 & 6, some stitch markers, your Mix & Match Book, your yarn (if you have it already)
