After-school 4 week Next Level Festive Crochet Club for 9-16 year olds

Recently we have taught lots of young people to crochet now we want to show them how to create all sorts of fab things so they get fully 'hooked' on the brilliant hobby of crochet. 

Please note this course is intended for those who can already crochet a little already (they must be able to do at least one type of stitch and a chain by themselves) as we will be jumping straight in to our first make, if they don't know how to crochet we host learn to crochet workshops for kids every now and then or if they are over 11 they are welcome to join our adult workshops. They may even be able to learn using our Youtube tutorials which you will find HERE

Dates : 4 consecutive Tuesdays in November, 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th & 30th , all 4.15-5.45pm -

During the sessions your child will be making a selection of festive gifts and decor! We will start with making a cracker, then cracker crown, after that we will make a beanie and as long as they finish their makes inbetween sessions we will also have time to make Christmas light bunting, if not they can take home the pattern. We will have a go at all 3 of the main stitches - Double Crochet (DC), Half Treble Crochet (HTC) and Treble Crochet (TC). They will be working from a written and pictogram pattern to see which they prefer. They will also learn about slip stitches, changing yarn mid & end of row, using chains as decoration and how to finish a piece with best weaving in methods. 

We can help with right & left handed crocheters. Materials provided, If you have hooks it would be great if you bring them along (any size from 6-8) or we have some they can borrow for the sessions. It will be expected that they will continue to work on their makes in-between sessions.
