The Grace Sweater is a fantastic Knitted Wearable Pattern by Adorable Knits!
It's worked from the neckline down, meaning almost NO ENDS to weave in and sew together!
Throughout this workshop, you will learn a range of new knitting skills & I have combined a few inclusive details too:
- How to read a knitting pattern & a knitting chart, courtesy of Adorable Knits amazing pattern!
- You will learn how to knit in the round
- We will go through German Short Rows, this technique gives an amazing shaped neckline
- We will learn how to increase & decrease stitches
- This is the perfect DK (Double Knitting) Stash buster
- Plus so many more!
This is a multiweek workshop, allowing you time in between the workshops to Knit & give you enough time to make the sweater. The weeks are as follows:
Session 1: Monday 1st September - 6.30pm to 8.30pm
This session is all about starting our sweater, learning how to cast on and work in the round, creating our folded ribbed neck.
We'll learn all about how the sweater is constructed and how to read the pattern and charts.
Session 2: Monday 8th September - 6.30pm to 8.30pm
This session we'll be looking at what 'German Short Rows' are, how they are worked and how it creates the best shaping ever!
We'll also start to think about carrying on to the 'yoke' section, where you'll be using increase stitches.
Session 3: Monday 15th September - 6.30 to 8.30pm
This session we'll be finishing off the yoke and moving onto splitting the sleeves and working the body section.
Session 4: Monday 22nd September - 6.30 to 8.30pm
Casting off! I'll be going through how to work the 'Italian Bind off'. This is a brilliant Next Level technique to learn and it gives such a professional finish.
Session 5: Monday 29th September - 6.30 to 8.30pm
This last session we'll be going through any questions and queries you have with the sweater and catching up with each other, showing our fabulous sweater creations!
Note: The workshop doesn't include yarn or knitting needles and you will be sent a code to download the pattern a few weeks before the workshop. More information will follow once you have signed up to the workshop regarding this, plus I will include a list of tools you may find useful! - Lark has some gorgeous yarn & tools to purchase at your first workshop!
