We are thrilled to have Asmaa and Fauve from the brilliant ‘Great British Sewing Bee’2023 hosting workshops at Lark.

Every day Culottes - This is a 1 day workshop starting at 9am and finishing around 5pm and will cost £60.

Suitable for those new to dress making, you are expected to thread our machine confidently

You will need to bring your own machine, fabric, a 9 inch concealed zip & 1m of lightweight interfacing (details for these will be emailed in advance)

You will also be given a PDF pattern to prepare your pattern pieces in advance.

The Culottes are a simple pair of flattering, oh-so-easy-to-sew wide-legged cropped trousers. Whether you pair them with flats to channel  or dress them up with heels for a night out, are endlessly wearable. 

The Culottes are designed to sit on the natural waist, and come with two finishing options. Version 1 has a waistband with lovely wide belt loops, whilst Version 2 is finished invisibly with a neat facing. Both options feature single darts at the front and double darts at the back for shaping, with an invisible zip in the side seam.

Fitted only at the waist, the Culottes are a great pattern for those new to trouser-sewing. They are easily shortened into shorts, or lengthened into palazzo pants to suit your style

At least 4 weeks before the workshop you will receive an email from Gemma at larkdesignmake@gmail.com  which will include information regarding your PDF pattern printing, fabric needed and suppliers etc so please look out for this email.

Hot drinks and biscuits will be available throughout the day, you are welcome to bring a packed lunch of there are many food places nearby including Greggs.
