Learn how to make a beautiful quilted tote bag with Kath over 3 weekly sessions, Kath is a regular customer of Lark who makes the most amazing quilts and has developed this lovely workshop after lots of requests from other regular customers ;-)
The workshop will introduce you to quilting, box corners and lots of other useful sewing techniques, with a few laughs along the way!
You wil need to bring your own 100% COTTON FABRIC & MATCHING THREAD to make your bag, more info about this will be provided in the booking confirmation email. Kath will provide good quality wadding. The cost is for all 3 parts which are on consecutive weeks starting on Monday 26th January
You will need to bring your sewing machine, as well as a 1/4 inch foot and open toe foot if you have them (Kath can show you ways to use the regular presser feet or can give you advice on buying them during session 1 when you will be mostly pattern cutting, if you don't have them so don't worry!) Using your own machine is always best as you should be more familiar with it and you will get to know the settings, you also may have some 'HOMEWORK' between sessions so it would be ideal if you knew how to best use your own machine, but if you need to borrow a machine from Lark please email Gemma of Lark studio at larkdesignmake@gmail.com to let her know to prepare one for you.
This workshop is suitable for those who can fairly confidently thread and use a machine already, if you are new to sewing please check out our beginners workshops.
