This workshop will teach you how to finish a piece of leather, including dying it to your chosen colour, sizing it, adding a choice of clasp and stamping yours or someone’s initials.

During this introductory leather crafting workshop, you will use a range of techniques and tools.

Woohoo! After lots of pattern making the leather espadrille sandal workshop is ready. Come and make a beautiful pair of sandals from a range of soft real leathers. All materials included and lots of cups of tea too!

Leather/Leatherette Jewellery Making

Leather tassels, leaf pendants & geometric shapes will be made in your choice of leather (or if you prefer leatherette). These pieces can then be created into key-rings, handbag charms, necklaces, earrings or bracelets.

Come along and learn how to make a French style memo board – perfect for storing your reminders, photos and cards.

We have a big selection of fabrics and ribbons available, but please feel free to bring along your own fabric if you wish!

Coptic Book Binding

The workshop will include all the materials to make a fully bound, hard back fabric or decorative paper covered note book. You will be using two traditional stitching methods – Coptic & French link.

You will be taught all the steps so the process can easily be repeated at home.

Shibori Dye Workshop

In this workshop, you will be able to test out various Japanese techniques of Shibori. With this technique you can create random designs using scrap pieces of cloth before dyeing two items of your choice. There will be cushion covers, scarves and napkins available, you can also buy for a small charge if you want to dye additional items.

You’ll learn how to use a loom and begin to create your own individual weaving. You’ll learn everything you need to know to design and create your own modern colourful, amazing weavings!
