Hey there, we thought we’d take some time to discuss our craft of the moment - Crochet! Crochet seems to be getting more and more popular...we're almost expecting to see a Great British Crochet Bee soon! ;-)
Read on to find about all the crochet supplies you can get your hands on at Lark, as well as the brilliant workshops we have on offer from September onwards.

Stylecraft Chunky Yarn
At the studio shop we now stock Stylecraft Chunky Yarns in 20 colours. To celebrate our new stock, we're doing a special promo - buy 5, and get one free! They are £2.15 each and are available in store only. We hope you're as excited as Gem's nephew Billy is about this...!

Did you know you can use Bobinny Rope (typically used for Macrame) to crochet with as well? You'll just need a size 10 hook and you'll have a chunky storage basket in no time.

We also stock lots of Hooked T-Shirt yarn, we have created a free pattern card which you can take home when you buy a ball of this yarn which ranges from £2.75-£9 and we literally have every single colour, the hardest part is choosing!

During lockdown we relied on the delivery of yarn for workshops and we were always pleased with the service we received from Lovecrafts.com and woolwarehouse.com
We particularly liked their Paintbox and Cygnet ranges.

Crochet accounts worth a follow -

1. Bella Coco Crochet, Youtube - We love this channel! Sarah-Jayne posts amazing craft and crochet tutorials every Sunday for all skill levels. Her instagram is also great for crochet inspo.

2. @madewithlovebytomdaley That's right, Olympic medallist Tom Daley is a fellow crochet enthusiast! You can check out his instagram for some inspiring makes.
3. Ella's fave, @crochetgal100, is the work of a fab 21 year old making beautiful crochet clothing and bags.
4. @emkatcrochet , run by Helen, a crochet designer, is a fab, colourful crochet account! We're a huge fan of this rainbow design.

We get many requests for clubs and we finally have room and time to offer them as it's such a great way to get to know each other and develop skills week by week, so we're starting off with a kids and adults beginners crochet clubs on Tuesdays in September, it always feels right to learn something new in the Autumn I'm sure you agree, it's like going back to school but much more fun.. haha!
