Creating a design space in your home!

Since opening our new studio we often gets lots of questions about the design solutions we have around the space. So we would show you exactly how you can create your own Lark inspired studio space!

Most of our useful items are from good old IKEA. If you are decorating at the moment, or are thinking of creating yourself a place for work or crafts we definitely recommend a slow walk around which might be a little more chilled now the kids are back in school! (and their meatballs make a tasty lunch!)

These decorative felt hexagons come in many of colours, (we opted for our classic Lark colours.) You can find these in the sewing room at our craft shop! We plan to add polaroid pics to them but we also like using them as pin cushions. We bought them on Aliexpress HERE

We LOVE our IKEA peg boards, We have 23 of them in the studio.. haha! I had a quote to get plyboard ones but they would have been about 10 times more expensive!! The boards themselves are about £10 each and come in 3 sizes and 2 colours but are also easy to spray a different colour. The one thing I would recommend is buying lots of accessories, we have at least 5 things on each, most useful are the hooks, clear storage containers and mini shelves. Here at the studio we love to display our pens, scissors and even our Fat Quarters on them.

If you've been to one of our workshops you will definitely remember our Calendar Board, made from 4 white shelves from IKEA (Mosslanda range), we had 31 A5 wooden boards cut by a friend that we painted black but I have since thought that it would be easy to recreate at home using white easy wipe boards, we found perfect ones here (I'm actually tempted to do one at my home too ;-)

Everybody Loves our funky chalkboard calendar! Come and see what we have coming up next!
