Finch can create the perfect wellbeing event for you…

As a Community Interest Company (CIC), Finch aims to promote wellbeing, creativity and life skills..

We offer events to local corporates and use any profits to offer creative workshops that can have a positive impact in particular to those who are experiencing financial hardship, isolation or mental health issues.

Finch is not for profit, this means that any profits gained from corporate events we host will be put towards local community projects. If your values align with ours then we hope to offer you a great event that suits your budget.

Using creative activities to bring people together has become hugely popular over the past few years, not just as an exercise in team building, but also for the benefits to personal wellbeing that creating things can bring. We have written a blog post about these mental health benefits which you can read here.

The benefits of creative get togethers…

Christmas Crafting at a December Corporate Craft Event
  • People are able to relax whilst focusing on the task at hand, enabling people to communicate in more effective ways and connect with one another.

  • It’s a great way to practice mindfulness: not stressing about past or future events, just focusing on the activity in the moment.

  • It helps strengthen your cognitive abilities, including improved problem solving, better hand-eye coordination, and apparently also memory-retrieval!

Lark offers workshops for macramé - which has regained huge popularity

Our experience

We have done many workshops for charities, including friendship and support group activities for Age Cymru & Unpaid Carers across venues in Gwent, a 10-week sewing course for Afghanistan Refugees at their temporary housing in a Cardiff hotel, monthly Facebook LIVE sessions for the Royal Voluntary Service, where we promote a range of crafts, as well as monthly Parent & Child workshops at Lark studio and on Zoom for Single Parents Wellbeing.

We have also been successful in securing funding to do several workshops in British Sign Language for the Deaf Community in Wales.

Finally, we have also done other events, including annual lectures and interactive sessions for Occupational Health University students on the importance of design, and outdoor events such as the MADE in Cardiff festival, Green Man Music Festival, Rudry Music Festival and Insole Court Open Days.
