Finch loves getting involved in charity & community events. We feel strongly that craft sessions can bring togetherness to an event and are a great way to promote wellbeing. And we are more than happy to come to you!
We offer free & subsidised regular workshops for the local community who are experiencing financial hardship, isolation or mental health issues.
The profit we make from corporate events we host will be used to subsidise these workshops.
If your charity is looking for opportunities for their beneficiaries to improve their wellbeing and gain life skills. We want to work with you!
To give you an indication of cost, a 2-hour community event with a fun sampler craft would cost a minimum of £150 (this would typically cover a group size up to 10 people & within 10 miles of Cardiff)
This cost would cover our preparation, set up, admin, teaching, materials* and pack away.
*Crafts with an asterisk next to them will incur a slightly higher price per person due to the cost of the materials.
Our experience…
We have done many workshops for charities, including friendship and support group activities for Age Cymru, Single Parents Wellbeing & Unpaid Carers, a 10-week sewing course for Afghanistan Refugees at their temporary housing in a Cardiff hotel.
We have been successful in securing funding to do several workshops in British Sign Language for the Deaf Community in Wales.
We have also done other events, including annual lectures and interactive sessions for Occupational Health University students on the importance of design, and outdoor events such Green Man Music Festival, Rudry Music Festival and Insole Court Open Days.
How to book an event…
Step 1 : Complete the enquiry form below we will reply with our availability within 2 days
Step 2 : If we are available to host your event we will start planning all the details & send an invoice
Step 3 : Once everything is set, we will get all the crafty materials ready for you. The invoice should be paid 7 days before the event & can be edited within that time.

*We are open to all sorts of group sizes, so if you get in touch using the form below, please include as much information as possible. We’ll then get back to you with suitable crafty ideas and can arrange a call or for you to pop in to discuss ideas.

Wire words & shapes
An easy and fun craft suitable for everyone!
You’ll be able to create words and beautiful shapes to decorate your home with only some rope and wire!

Make some lanterns that you can take home for a beautiful & cosy addition to your home!
We will provide you with a range of fabric options that you can choose from and guide you throughout the whole process to craft some lush battery-powered lanterns.
Leather journal making*
Create reusable leather journals with recycled leather.
Perfect for those who love journaling or organising their schedules!
The workshop includes lots of journal insert options and plenty of accessories to personalise your makes! And the best part is that you can easily replace the notebook and reuse your cover ;)
Macramé water bottle holder
Make a stylish macramé water bottle holder made from knots that can be easily adjusted. This craft is perfect for those who love attending festivals or love a boho style!
And it is the perfect craft to enjoy some quality time!

This is a super easy craft that’s perfect for people who like to keep everything organised with style ;)

She will teach you how to bend and twist your wire to make a beautiful wire dragonfly that you can use as a home decoration.

Get immersed in an addictive knotting workshop to make a macramé leaf wall hanging.
We have a wide selection of coloured rope to choose from, meaning you can match your hanging perfectly to your home.
Sashiko stitching
This is a traditional Japanese stitching technique using simple running stitches to create functional and decorative patterns.
Decorate your own tote bags throughout the session and take home your finished unique product!
Macramé plant hanger
Best for crafty groups, as this activity requires a bit more instruction!
